Korean Army Stew

This is a must have recipe especially for those cold winter days in Minnesota. It’s the perfect comfort food. It’s spicy and savory and sure to please your taste buds.

Ingredients
  • 1 bunch or spring onions
  • 2 cups of mushrooms
  • 1 small napa cabbage
  • 1 red onion (yellow or white)
  • 1 package of extra firm tofu
  • 1 can of spam
  • 1 package of polska kielbasa
  • ¼ cup of kimchi
Sauce:
  • 2 Tbsp. Korean pepper paste
  • 1 Tbsp. soy bean paste
  • 1 Tbsp. rice wine vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Korean pepper powder/flakes

  • 1½ package of ramen noodles
  • 1 cup of Korean rice cakes
Instructions
  1. Slice ingredients and set aside.
  2. Make sauce and set aside.
  3. Arrange ingredients and place sauce on top of the kimchi in the middle. Fill water almost to the top of the skillet.
  4. Add ramen noodles on top and stew on top of ramen to soften.
