Cream Cheese Wontons

I was craving cream cheese wontons. I love the crunchy texture of the fried wonton skin and the creaminess of the cream cheese. Wow! These were a hit with my family. They were gone in seconds so make sure to make extra so you get a few bites yourself.

Serves: 22 cream cheese wontons
Ingredients
  • 1 package of cream cheese (8 ounces) at room temperature
  • ⅛ tsp garlic powder
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 package of wontons
  • Vegetable/Peanut Oil to fry the wontons
  • Sweet chili Sauce for the dip
Instructions
  1. Mix cream cheese with an electric/stand mixer or a wooden spoon.
  2. Combine garlic powder and salt into the cream cheese and mix.
  3. Add chopped green onions into the cream cheese mixture and combine and set aside.
  4. Mix one large egg and set it to the side. This will help seal your cream cheese wontons.
  5. Take 1 tsp of your cream cheese filling and place it in the middle of your wonton wrapper.
  6. Seal the two edges of your wonton with the egg wash.
  7. Fold over the wonton and crimp the edges to seal the filling. Make sure not to create any air pocket.
